Carlos Alcaraz is out of the 2025 Australian Open, and it’s thanks to a legend. Novak Djokovic was seeded seventh in the draw this year, and he faced Alcaraz — No. 3 in the tournament — in the quarterfinals at Rod Laver Arena.

Alcaraz, meanwhile, is attempting to become the youngest man in the history of the sport to complete a career Grand Slam. The 21-year-old won the US Open in 2022, Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024 and the French Open in 2024. But he has never reached the final four in Melbourne.
