The College Football Playoff rankings showed minimal movement with Oregon overtaking Ole Miss and Miami moving to No. 12 as the season enters its final weeks.

Oregon moved up in the College Football Playoff rankings after its best win of the season. The Ducks (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten) are No. 6 in this week’s CFP rankings, up from No. 7 last week after beating then-No. 15 USC. The Trojans dropped to No. 17 this week.

Oregon, Michigan and Miami were among the risers in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings, the selection committee announced.

Since then, the Ducks have responded. They pulled out a gritty win at Iowa and cruised by Minnesota. In presenting its best case to the selection committee, No. 5 Oregon put a bow on it with a 42-27 defeat of No. 16 Southern California.
