Cooper DeJean is usually called a cornerback, but on the Eagles' roster he's just listed as a defensive back, and Philadelphia defensive coordinator Vic Fangio says DeJean could easily find himself getting more snaps at safety this season.

The Eagles want to keep DeJean on the field at all times, and safety could be a way for them to accomplish that. Based on how the cornerback situation plays out on the outside between Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson, Fangio could move DeJean to safety in base defense to pair with Blankenship.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean made a strong impression in his rookie year, holding it down at nickel and racking up 51 tackles, three interceptions, and a forced fumble. His performance was impressive enough to earn him a spot as a finalist for Defensive Rookie of the Year.
