These last quite a while, packaging is easy to open too, work in loads of different items round the house. More pricey than others but definitely worth it because they lasted so much longer!

Most Carbon Monoxide detectors/alarms are single use.Apart from the replacement date printed on the casing, the battery starts to beep once a minute loudly, to remind you the battery is on its way out. which is s pain when you sleep over the detector's location. I cracked the casing open to get at the battery and discovered it is a Duracell 213 or CR17345. I thought, why junk the detector just because the battery is flat?Ordering a replacement on Ebay was simple and the P&P inclusive price acceptable. couple of days later, battery arrived, replaced and CO detector gets new lease of life. They are expensive, and I do through a lot of them because I used them in one of those new, super-high powered flashlights that you are now seeing advertised everywhere! I love the flashlight, hate to buy the batteries!!!\n\nBut if you need this size...get these Duracell batteries in multi-pack. Yeah, I know it stings to spend $15 on batteries!\nBut you are going to go through them anyway, so you might as well get the multi-pack and save yourself some bucks down the road!\n\nPaul\nTexas
