Perhaps ...as a child...you found that Pepto Bismol was VERY helpful for an upset stomach. These Bismuth preparations DEFINITELY can be....but MOST of them contain Aluminum...and many of us--through the years have learned that this element is probably one we don't want to ingest, if we can help it. As it happens a check of the research will show that there is some evidence that Al is a neurotoxin. This product is one (of only a few) that DOES NOT contain the worrisome element.. ..which makes it a winner. And, I've never heard of any problematic side-effects. \n\nI will finish by saying that you probably DON'T need to go with the full dosage....and that the bottle is REALLY large (a full pint)...so the four I purchased will probably last me the next twenty years!!! ALSO--the price was AMAZINGLY reasonable!!! ; )

I probably haven't taken the pink stuff for 20 years, but felt the need for it recently. In the interest of saving a few dollars I opted for the store version, and tore into the torn plastic bag when my order arrived. The fluorescent pink substance jiggles in the bottle and pours like an over-worked batch of "slime", goes down easy, tastes somewhat fruity with a background of peppermint and spearmint. I needed a peppermint tea chaser. I don't know if the original pink stuff has reformulated their flavor also, thus the really bottom of Granny's purse flavor of this stuff, but it did do the trick, so kudos for that, and a really nice price point.

this is just my opinion but, I think equate upset stomach bismuth relief liquid is just as good if not better than pepto.\nthe product is thick and delicious and creamy and really help stop my heartburn in an instant. I also get GERD which can be terribly painful when you're laying down and all the sudden you start spewing acid out of your mouth. if I take some of this at night before I go to bed, it keeps that from happening most of the time. I really recommend this if you are having nausea heartburn upset stomach diarrhea etc, it's a great product and an amazing price for two bottles!

Don't waste your money on the pricey Pepto, this an excellent equivalent and SO much less expensive. Works just as well and tastes EXACTLY the same, tried the "extra strength", zero difference so we only buy this. This is also extremely good for those who wake up coughing/choking with acid reflux, it coats your throat and helps to ease the coughing and reduce the stomach acid. I keep a bottle by my bed nightly. This is great for tummy, intestinal issues, acid reflux, nausea.

not very densly concentrated but convient amount of doses for the size ofthe bottle, a big swig will quell heartburn effeciently, recomend they change the recommendation to "take half a mouth of pink bismuth solution before eating any acidic or salty meal and allow 2 minutes to coat stumach" -would yield better results and healing and thus yield more sales.

It's working this far. All I know is my stomach has been messed up for a week. I had to have some relief. I started off with 15 instead of the 30 that was suggested in the instructions. It's been over 4 hours and the diarrhea has not returned. Absolutely no cramping. I'm happy.\nI used the liquid not the pills. I took a pic of both things I ordered. I was going to try the pills if the liquid didn't work but it worked and I only paid a few dollars.

As generic Pepto Bismal goes this does the trick for a more affordable price. The caps don't stay on as well, their inner lining in the cap often falls out or gets stuck to the bottle's opening, this in turn can lead to some leakage. Their bottle caps have been known to strip their thread so that they never come off again. Walmart skimps on build quality of their bottles but the contents do help you keep it together.

It's good for the price no doubt but it's not as thick as the brand name Pepto so you have to take more of it to get the same results. Same problem as with many generics but the price for 2 16oz bottles is less than an 8oz Pepto so it's worth it to me. I recommend this deal and will keep buying.

For someone that basically lives off of this stuff one day every month, finding it for a decent price can be a deal. I love that this pack of two was easily priced and it is an important amount. I am not really sure why my stomach hurts me for one day every month, but this stuff does really seem to help it, and with the generic brand, you get more bang for your buck as the expression goes. Lovely!

I tend to have a light lunch, but a big dinner immediately followed by falling asleep on the couch. When getting up to go to bed the heartburn from that dinner is killer. I don't want those chewable tablets that take time to kill the burn. This works as you're swallowing it. You can actually feal the fire going out as it goes down. The bottle lasts quite a while and is half the cost of anti-acid.

There's no substitute for the real thing. I find generic brands from anywhere are just not as good tasting %26 textured as the real thing. That said however, this is as effective as the real thing. So it's thicker %26 the flavor isn't as smooth, but for its purpose, it's effective.

When I have excruciating pain that I can't control with my natural, holistic methods the pain makes me throw up. Pepto really helps me immensely not to throw up as much. Due to my body's reaction as side effects from a selection of prescribed medications... I find need of this item often. We order 3 at a time for under 10.USD. While the taste is different than the name brand equivalent. The taste is certainly not off-putting and the results are the same for us. Why not save money and still do good for your body?

I bye this equate brand because for me it works just as well as Pepto-Bismol. I use it mainly for upset stomach and diarrhea and provides me with relief. Dont be afraid of the equate brand I have used many of their products and seem to work just as well as brand names and always less expensive. I would recommend this product to anyone

This is a great value. My husband has used “the pink stuff” for decades for heartburn (yes it feels like a burn inside your chest). This still helps at a better value than the name brand. Try it for your family.

Equate Bismuth liquid help me with my diarrhea issues. But I was unable to peel back the instructions on the back of bottle on the dosage instructions. It was very hard to peel back. So I had to go online to get instructions on something similar such as Pepto Bismal liquid and I followed the instructions there.

Got this for what I suspect may be food poisoning, and using it with the equate anti-diarrheal loperamide. Haven't had any vomiting, but definitely nausea and other issues you can easily surmise from the other product mentioned here lol. Feeling better already - no nausea, and other issues have settled as well.

I use this and it works just as well as the brand name. I very graciously gave it a 4 star for taste, I really hate the taste but I hate all of them, brand name, generic, cvs brand whatever. I just don't like whatever is in it. But it works and I have frequent heart burn so I am glad it is not so pricey.

It works like it's made to do, and that is great for those times that you have one of the listed items: heartburn, nausea, indigestion, acid reflux. In my case,often, when I feel an ulcer or that kind of problem with my stomach (since 17, been checked out), it allows coating for those to heal.

I have been using this product for years. At times when I do eat certain foods it either gives me heartburn or painful in my stomach and all I have to do is to take a cap full (that comes with it), it immediately neutralizes my stomach. \nI definitely recommend this product and thumbs 👍👍

This bismuth preparation is comparable to Pepto-Bismol and has a very pleasant taste. It works well without being too harsh and is one of my favorite go-to remedies for mild digestive upset. This should be one of those few products kept on hand by everyone just in case it's ever needed.

My dad has always maintained as a Pharmacist that generic drugs, especially OTC (over the counter meaning ones that don't require a prescription) do the job just as well as their name brand counter parts at a lower cost to the consumer. I can't argue that knowledge with the results.

This product basically does the same as the store brand Pepto-Bismuth. I like the fact that it comes two of them together then I would have a backup. It does relieve the upset stomach and it is as good or better than the brand name. It is worth the money and I buy it when needed.
