Coastal Carolina University has deployed what it is calling a "Smart Reef" at the Ron McManus Memorial Reef, about five miles out in the Atlantic Ocean near Little River. Technological components of the "Smart Reef" will ultimately provide real-time data for a variety of factors at the site.
