Robert Blair "Paddy" Mayne (1915–1955) was a Northern Irish soldier, rugby international, and one of the founding members of the Special Air Service (SAS) in WWII. Originally a lawyer and rugby player, he was recruited by David Stirling in 1941.Mayne became famous for daring night raids on Axis airfields in North Africa, personally destroying dozens of aircraft.
