After a series of recent crashes involving Washington State Patrol cruisers, troopers are asking drivers to be more attentive on the roads and slow down near emergency scenes. The latest crash happened Monday evening on State Route 512 in Parkland when a trooper's car was struck from behind by a driver who apparently wasn't paying attention. The 29-year-old trooper was hospitalized but later released with minor injuries. The 28-year-old driver who hit the trooper was cited for negligent driving.
