Dakosaurus – The Jurassic “Killer Croc” 🐊🦖🌊 Dakosaurus lived about 150 million years ago during the Late Jurassic and was a marine reptile belonging to the metriorhynchids, a group of ocean-going crocodile relatives. Unlike modern crocs, Dakosaurus had a streamlined body, paddle-like limbs, and a tail built for swimming, making it fully adapted to life at sea. It grew up to 5 meters long and had short, robust jaws filled with serrated teeth, earning it the nickname “the Jurassic killer croc.”
